EASTER CONFESSION

I can’t resist Easter candy!

To this day, my sweet Dad sends me a chocolate bunny,  which of course I have to eat — starting with the ears!

If you’re tempted by Easter candy lying around the house or office, here’s how to make some better choices:

❌ STAY AWAY from PEEPS! 🐤. A package of 5, which is considered one serving, has 30 GRAMS or 7 ½ teaspoons of SUGAR!!

❌ Also stay away from SKITTLES or JELLY BEANS, which are mainly SUGAR and artificial colors.

The Blood Sugar spike from eating this much sugar can worsen inflammation in your body (for example if you have autoimmune conditions, arthritis, or other inflammatory conditions) AND possibly aggravate Acne, Wrinkles, & Rashes.

✅ Instead, put REESE’S PEANUT BUTTER EGGS in your basket 🐣 The first ingredient is PEANUTS 🥜, not sugar, so it has some fiber & fat, which helps slow down the blood sugar spike.

✅ Look for PEANUTS (*Unless you’re allergic!) like M&Ms PEANUT EGGS, or try UNREAL DARK CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER CUPS. Each one has just 5 grams of sugar, plus they’re vegan & gluten-free.

✅: Bonus tip: If you ARE going to indulge in Easter Candy, save it for the end of the day, after you’ve had a protein-containing meal. This will have less effects on your blood sugar, and therefore less potential inflammatory effect.
