PROUD TO BE A NERD

In school, I was good at memorizing facts. It didn’t make me popular, but it did come in handy in medical school.

Later, during my Dermatology training, I was able to learn complex concepts, like how to:

⭐️ Diagnose infectious rashes and what bacteria/virus/parasite/fungus caused it (and what the organism looks like)
⭐️Look at skin biopsies under a microscope to determine if it’s cancer
⭐️Treat systemic diseases that cause skin rashes, which look different in different individuals

These days, I love keeping up on science breakthroughs and discussing cutting-edge treatments with colleagues all over the world.

Being intellectually curious has helped me take the best care of my patients and allowed me reach the top of my field. So I’m grateful to be a nerd 🤓
