GOT BROWN SPOTS OR MELASMA?

You need to know about TRANEXAMIC ACID (TXA), which I first heard about in Asia over 15 years ago.

TOPICAL TXA is found in LYTERA, one of the first products in the U.S. to contain this ingredient. It’s good for SENSITIVE SKIN, and doesn’t cause sun-sensitivity.

I often give it to my patients along with my Rx-strength FADE CREAM compound to lighten stubborn dark patches.

I also do MICRONEEDLING + TXA, which has quick recovery (you’re pink for a few days), and is safe for DEEPER SKIN TONES as opposed to laser, which can make melasma worse.

TXA PILLS are only FDA-approved for heavy periods and bleeding problems. While some doctors prescribe it for melasma, I do NOT. Once you stop, the patches come back and there have been cases of deep venous thrombosis (blood clots) in those who took it for melasma. So PLEASE BEWARE ☠️
