TIME TO GET NAKED

In honor of Skin Cancer Awareness Month, I’d like to remind everyone to please have your skin checked annually for moles and growths.
 
Some FACTS and a FICTION regarding skin cancer (involving Tom Brady – 🙄):
 
✅: FACT: 1 IN 5 Americans will get skin cancer in our lifetime (and can affect all skin tones).
 
✅: FACT:  Five or more blistering SUNBURNS doubles your risk of MELANOMA, the deadliest type. (Can metastasize/spread to eyes, brain, and bones.)
 
❌:  FICTION:  DRINKING WATER prevents sunburn (NO IT DOES NOT, despite what Tom Brady has been quoted as saying!).
 
✅: FACT:  Look for NEW, CHANGING, or UNUSUAL growths, which can be the 1st sign of skin cancer.
 
Try to avoid getting sunburned this summer!
