NO GREYS

My grandmother, who lived to 99, had black hair until the day she passed 🥲.

Barely 5 feet tall, she had a commanding presence. Though she expected much of me, her oldest granddaughter, Grandma also taught me about family, loyalty, and love — and how to put myself together with style.

Grandma wore heels well into her 80s and loved large sunglasses and leopard print.  She never left the house without drawing on her eyebrows and doing her hair.  I have fond memories of the two of us getting our hair washed and blowdried every day when I was a little girl in Taiwan.  (Decades before Drybar!)

I often think of her when I’m getting my hair done.  And like Grandma, I think I’ll be hanging on to my hair color as long as I can.

I have several friends who stopped coloring their hair, and others who have platinum, or red, or pink hair: all beautiful ❤️ .

⭐️ The best part of growing up is deciding for yourself what makes YOU feel good.

⭐️ For me, having fresh color and having a “good hair day” gives me a confidence boost.

❓ Where do you stand on hair color? “Au Naturel” or “Not Going Down Without a Fight!?” Weigh in below ⬇️
