MICRONEEDLING VS. RF VS. MORPHEUS?

Many of you have asked me to explain the difference between microneedling, radiofrequency (RF) and Morpheus.  Here’s what I tell my patients:

⭐️ I recommend MICRONEEDLING to those who want to improve their SKIN TEXTURE. For example, softening fine lines around the mouth (“Lipstick lines”) or around the eyes, including fine lines that are too small to treat with filler.

I also use it to treat acne scars (what microneedling was originally developed for), as well as reducing pore size, and improving overall complexion. I typically use it on the face, neck, & chest.

It uses tiny, fine needles to deliver active ingredients deeper into the skin than applying topically. It also stimulates new Collagen production.

Recovery is quick:  3-4 days.

⭐️ RADIOFREQUENCY (RF), such as my EXILIS device, uses radio waves to generate heat and stimulate Collagen.

I love it for the LOWER FACE, NECK, AND BODY CONTOURING.  I most often recommend it to my patients who want FIRMING with NO DOWNTIME.  It feels like a hot stone massage and any mild pinkness resolves quickly, with no recovery time.

⭐️ MORPHEUS is one of the most popular treatments in my office — I do several a day.  It combines the benefits of MICRONEEDLING *AND* RADIOFREQUENCY.

The Radiofrequency comes out the tip of the needles. I recommend it for improving SKIN TEXTURE & FIRMING on the FACE, NECK, CHEST, and BODY.

The hot needles can be uncomfortable, so I numb my patients with a special extra-strength topical anesthetic cream for 1 ½ - 2 hours.

Healing takes about 3-4 days for the face; a few days longer for the body.
