GOOD-FOR-YOUR-SKIN SUMMER COCKTAILS
If you’ve read my book (FEED YOUR FACE), you know that I believe in enjoying your food & drink.
Here are my fave skin-friendly Summer cocktails (BTW they’re just as delicious whether virgin or adult 😉):
🌞 4th of July Brunch: Pour BLOODY MARYS. (Better for you than mimosas!)
Tomatoes 🍅 are high in lycopene, an antioxidant that protects against sunburn. To help absorb better,
serve with a healthy fat, like avocado toast 🥑.
TIP: Cool off with POPTAILS: Freeze Bloody Mary Mix overnight and run under hot water to unmold. (alcohol won’t freeze so these have to be virgin 😉).
🌞 Barbecue or by the Pool: Serve CUCUMBER 🥒 GINGER-LIME SLUSHIES.
Cucumber hydrates, and ginger is anti-inflammatory. In a blender, add peeled, sliced cucumber, ginger beer (I found a no sugar version), splash of gin, squeeze of fresh lime juice, simple syrup, and plenty of ice. Blend to slushy consistency. Add more lime or simple syrup to taste.
🌞 After Sunset: Make GREEN TEA MOJITOS.
Add a splash of iced green tea to your favorite mojito recipe. Green tea fights DNA damage after sun, and helps balance the sweetness of the drink.
