BEES ARE COOL
It’s National Honey Month, a good time to remember the crucial role bees play in our food supply and what fascinating creatures they are.
🐝 I had an amazing opportunity to see them up close. They live in a harmonious, highly organized and efficient matriarchal society, all designed for the common good. (We could learn from them.)
🐝 Human use of honey has been traced as far back as 8000 years ago, depicted in Stone Age paintings.
🐝 More recently, honey and other bee products have antimicrobial, antioxidant, antiinflammatory, humectant (water-binding) and wound-healing effects.
🐝 They have been used to treat: infections, dandruff, burns, acne, psoriasis, fungus, diaper rash, and hemorrhoids, as well as for cosmetic reasons.
